This mode is suitable for older dogs or those with poor hearing as an alternative to ultrasonic sound training. Adjust the dial based on the activation frequency, ensuring the unit responds only to the dog's barking before switching to Ultrasonic mode.

What is ultrasonic sound?

Ultrasonic sound, though beyond the audible range for humans, serves as a attention-grabbing and bothersome stimulus for dogs. This quality makes it a secure and efficient instrument for training dogs, redirecting their attention away from barking towards the high-pitched sound.

Will this disturb other pets?

Yes, it might bother your cat as cats and dogs share similar hearing ranges. However, the sound from the STÙNICK SB1 does not penetrate walls or travel around corners. For instance, if the unit is in the backyard and your cat is in the front yard or indoors, the sound should not be bothersome. When used indoors, it's advisable to keep cats or other rodent pets away from the area where the device is in use.

Is the High-Low dial a volume control?

The High-Low dial adjusts microphone sensitivity, not volume. Set it to "High" for distant dogs and "Low" for close proximity or indoor use. Begin with low sensitivity and adjust as needed. No volume changes are required, as ultrasonic frequencies travel up to 350 feet unobstructed.
